Racial Equity and Inclusion Grant Program Overview

The Racial Equity and Inclusion Grant Program is designed to cultivate greater and more consistent efforts and outputs related to racial equity, justice, inclusion, and liberation for nonprofits in our arts and culture sector.

We aim to distribute approximately $75,000 to an undetermined number of individual artists.

Grant Amounts: $2,500 or $5,000 or $10,000

The Tier 1 Artist Career Empowerment Grant Program is designed to stimulate economic opportunity and benefit to both the individual artist recipient and creative entrepreneurs, as well as the arts and cultural sectors, the creative community, and the economic ecosystems of Salt Lake City. 

Grant Amounts: $2,000 or $5,000 or $10,000

Artist-in-the-Classroom Grant

Artist-in-the-Classroom Grant Program Overview

The Artist-in-the-Classroom Grant Program provides funding for elementary schools in the Salt Lake City School District to support the placement of professional artists in the classroom during school hours. This residency program is designed to augment existing arts activities during the school-day and should not be used for after-school programming.

General Operating Support Grant Program Overview

The General Operating Support Grant Program assists arts nonprofits with general operating expenses and the continuation or expansion of arts programming in Salt Lake City. Organizations funded must demonstrate high artistic/programming excellence and demonstrate a positive impact on the community.

Grant Amounts: $2,500 – $10,000

Project Support Grant

Project Support Grants Program Overview

The Project Support Grant Program is designed to fund individuals, groups, and nonprofit organizations for specific arts projects and programs taking place in Salt Lake City. Concerts, performances, festivals, workshops, symposiums, exhibitions, and readings are examples of projects eligible for funding through Project Support grants.

Grants Amounts: $500 – $8,000

Community Grants Program Overview

Small businesses and artists can apply for grants of up to $50,000, while non-profits offering specific COVID-19 recovery programming can apply for grants up to $100,000.
