JOYMOB EVENTS

At JOYMOB Events, we create unique interactive experiences that bring people together in fun and engaging ways. This includes flash mobs, street karaoke, eye contact events, love letters, laughter yoga classes, team building activities and more. Our goal is to foster a world filled with joy, belonging and human connection.
Social entrepreneur, Bahaa Chmait, founded JOYMOB Events (previously called Culture Collective Events) in 2018 with a goal to see if he could unite the city through dance. Since then we’ve flash mobbed everything from festivals to farmers markets.
Whether we’re hosting community events or corporate workshops, the promotion of positive mental health, through unique experiences & human connection, is at the core of everything we do. Join the movement and let’s foster a world filled with joy, belonging and human
connection.

LIVING LEGACY

Past Living Traditions Festival participants will showcase their Living Legacy through telling stories, incorporating music, dance, as well as food and craft. This project engages Salt Lake City’s diverse community in showcasing a collaborative narrative on how these various communities keep their traditions and legacies alive.

As part of the Living Traditions Festival, the Living Legacy video series will come alive in and around Salt Lake City on Friday nights in June as we incorporate showing these stories through video projections on designated downtown walls. From dusk to 10pm, people walking by can stop to learn about the diversity of community cultures that call Utah home and engage with the stories of our Living Legacy participants.

You can stop by the Living Legacy booth at all of the Living Traditions Festival events in May and June to see the Living Legacy video series and share your own story to be part of Living Legacy.

KIDS AREA

Youth are invited to visit the Living Traditions Kids Area where they can make their own fun and colorful crafts. Local traditional artists share the story behind their craft and show youth how to create their own artwork to take home. Non-profit community partners will also have hands-on activities for kids.

CHILDREN MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT AT ALL TIMES.

BOCCE BALL

This ancient game, whose modern adaptation most closely resembles bowling and is played around Europe and also on other continents with Italian immigrants, including Australia and North and South America, requires skill, strategy and just a little luck. Members of the Utah Bocce Association set up the courts at Living Traditions and provide instruction in the game throughout the festival.
