Scottish Country Dance originated in Scotland, and by the end of the 20th century it became a form of recreational dance that is popular around the world. With Utah’s strong Scottish heritage, it is not surprising that the Celtic Country Dancers perform in many cultural festivals throughout the calendar year.
The Salt Lake City Arts Council is a division of Salt Lake City Corporation in the Department of Economic Development and also maintains a nonprofit corporation, the Salt Lake City Arts Council Foundation with 501(c)(3) status.
