Turkish Paper Marbling (Ebru)
Get your ink on! Ebru is the traditional Turkish art of creating colorful patterns by sprinkling and brushing color pigments onto a pan of oily water and then transferring the patterns to paper. Known as paper marbling, this art is commonly used for decoration in bookbinding. The knowledge and skills of Ebru artists are traditionally passed down through apprenticeships; with our FOLK ART MAKE-AND-TAKE you will receive a fun, free hands-on introduction to this centuries-old art form.
