We are excited to announce that applications for the 2017 Brown Bag Concert Series is now open! All performing arts disciplines are eligible to apply (music, choral, dance, cultural presentations, etc.).
The Brown Bag Concert Series is a summer music series, celebrating its 40th anniversary, offering free concerts in several downtown Salt Lake City locations. Concerts are held Monday through Friday, from 12:15 to 1:00 p.m. The 2017 series will run Monday, July 31 through Friday, August 25. The 2017 season will include 20 total performances.
The Arts Council is proud to once again partner with Spy Hop to present one week of the Brown Bag Concert Series curated, marketed, produced and live recorded entirely by youth ages 15-19 as a part of their 801 Sessions program. This week long residency will provide performance opportunities for five young acts as well as valuable experience in event planning, marketing, artist management, live-performance production for those participating. The other fifteen slots will come from the pool of interested artists that have applied.
